  1. I’ve got two books on the go at the moment – one is fiction; The Martian by Andy Weir. The other is non-fiction; The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris. Both are very good.

  2. I have not read, but I have heard good comments about the book; The Martian by Any Weir, you are reading.

I do have a couple of novels I would like to read, but I seem to be keeping them on the shelf at the moment. One is A Sea of Troubles by Donna Leon and the other, Necropolis by Anthony Horowitz.
I did start reading at one point, a couple of years back, Necropolis, but it took me some getting into it. Then when I was doing my GCSE, I did not end up continuing to read it, so I would have to start reading from the beginning. It sounds a good book, but I just found it a bit slow to start off with.

  3. I’m always starting books and not finishing them! But The Martian is a very good book. It’s quite easy to read and a page turner. By the end of the day, I can’t cope with anything too heavy!

  4. Hi Liz,
I have started an intriguing book. It’s called “Awakening the Heroes Within: Twelve Archetypes to Help Us Find Ourselves and Transform Our World”. The author is Carol S. Pearson. I found it by reading a student’s thesis and wanted to find out more.

    Hi Pzf,
I read The Martian and loved it! I saw the movie first but wanted to know more on the science and how the astronaut’s thought processes worked as he devised and employed various solutions to his dilemma. I enjoyed the humor of the book as well.

  5. Hi Pzf.
I have another book through my door that arrived today; ‘Teach Yourself Psychology, A Complete Introduction,’ by Dr Sandi Mann.
With me doing my home study mental health course and wanting to gain extra insert, I thought this book could be something extra to read, especially with me volunteering in mental health and considering a possible career in mental health. I have already started reading this book and so it looks like my novels won’t be anytime soon. But if I find I cannot get into that book (Necropolis,) after trying a re-attempt to read it, then I shall have to give it up. 🙂

    Hi Sarah
I hope you find that book interesting. I’m sure you will with finding your course extremely valuable.
As you know, I am doing my mental health course. My second assignment I have just posted today. I thought this Psychology book would help in some way to gain even further insight. Looking at the contents, I should. 🙂

  6. After picking up my book; ‘Necropolis,’ by Anthony Horowitz. I have to add now, that I had not read this book before as I thought, as it was a different story to the one I was thinking. This book, I had not read before and I got straight into it. It’s a book I am looking forward to finishing and should finish quickly.
As for the other book I was thinking originally, I must have got rid of that one, as nothing on my book shelf that fits.
