Post re-share: Soaring Temperatures Bring Danger to Cats and Kittens Falling out of Windows — Katzenworld

It’s simple. If you cannot make your home safe for cats, don’t have one.

It angers me when people don’t take advice. You must not have windows open in the summer, unless you have something on them that is guaranteed to keep your cat safe. Or ensuring that rooms are not accessible to cats where there is a window open.

Do not own a cat, if you cannot guarantee their safety.

  1. When deciding to own any pet, you must always put their needs before your own. If you can’t do that and make sure your pets need are catered for, then you should not be owning a pet.

  2. I stupidly asked my previous sister in law to look after my two cats whilst I was on honeymoon years ago. She left a window open and one fell … I never forgave her for her stupidity. And I don’t think she really understood what she had done. And that was just the start of the things she did. I’m glad I moved away from that whole family … sorry, having a rant! (Actually I didn’t ‘move away’, my husband ran off with his secretary so I was rather cast aside). Some people are just not good and don’t give a hoot. Rant over … sorry. Katie x

    1. OK to have your rant. I had mine when I written this post.
This and dogs dying in hot cars, really get to me.
