Book review: Lagom…

After reading over at ‘Life is now!’ in this post, of one of the two books she had been reading, I thought I would read one them that caught my eye. This book is called, “Lagom – The Swedish Art of Living a Balanced, Happy Life,” written by Niki Brantmark.

I love the size of this book, as it’s a handy size to put in your bag and read on the go if you want. This book I have is hard-backed too. Don’t be deceived by the size of this book, as I found it to be very informative and it has 288 pages.

Contents of this book:

  • Introduction to Lagom
  • Lagom in your personal life
  • Lagom to n family and relationships
  • Lagom in the wider world
  • Conclusion
  • Endnotes
  • Index
  • Thank you

Lagom in your personal life, you learn of the signs you need to de-clutter and you learn of simple ways to de-clutter your home. Those that have known me for some years will know I de-cluttered big time, years ago. Now its just keeping aware of what I own and asking myself, do I really need it? But I still do the odd de-clutter.
Also in this chapter, you learn how to furnish your home, the Lagom way. Again, its furnishing it in a way that is practical and easy to the eye, but affordable. It doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy it new either.
You are given examples of how you can bring nature inside and houseplants for the home.
Embracing the light,as well as the dark nights and this is just a preview of chapter one, which what I share is not all of chapter one.

Lagom is about finding the balance that best works for you and this informative book will help you with that.
Niki Brantmark offers fun suggestions and bite-sized actions, so that you can make subtle changes in your life. By doing so, you can find times for things that matter to you.
