It’s the weekend

This weekend, I plan to watch some shows on dvd I have.

Today, I will watch:

  • Cirque Du Soleil – Dralion
  • Cirque Du Soleil – Varekai

Tomorrow, it will be:

  • Cirque Du Soleil – Journey Of Man

I will also bake some more of those oaty biscuits again this weekend. I will more likely make these early this morning. Before this post goes to air.
I shall make two batches; one batch for me and another batch for my neighbour I regularly see each week for a cuppa at mine, as well as times when we pass. (The ones who have been lending me their dvd’s and cd’s.) His wife was happy to give me a lift to my mum’s bungalow and back, yesterday, so I could let a council worker in to do an annual gas service check on mum’s boiler.

At the beginning of the week from same neighbour, I received a rhubarb crumble that she baked. Yum. I was in heaven with that. I like my rhubarb and it was my first crumble since going dairy-free.

I don’t know what else I will be doing this weekend, but I am definitely doing the above.

What’s your weekend plans?

    1. Oh I was in heaven receiving my rhubarb crumble. She said that she’d be making another later, sometime.

Near the end of my baking. So first of two dvd’s soon.

    1. Thank you. It’s going well so far. Last cookies in the oven. They come out in uner 10 minutes. I shall then put a dvd on, while having a cuppa.
I hope your day is good. Xx

  1. It’s good to have neighbours that can make a mean rhubarb crumble! I hope the oaty biscuits you’re making go/went well. I attempted cookies two days ago and I don’t know what I did wrong (all of it, by the looks of them). They ended up like extra thin crust floppy pizza. It’s put me off baking again, I’m just awful at it! Enjoy the DVDs, I’d like to watch a bit more of those performers, they really are amazing. Have a restful, enjoyable weekend, Liz.xx

    1. You know what they say, ‘practice makes perfect’ and a good excuse to eat more biscuits. 🙂

I dropped their biscuits off early this afternoon. One came back up a couple of hours later and asked if he could come in. He wanted a word and hope I wouldn’t be offended. They were going to lend me money because they thought I might be short. I wasn’t offended, but I certainly wasn’t short. His wife thought I was and I said no, I set myself a budget each week so I don’t spend more than I need and save for what I want to save like my own place. I said I get paid soon.
I mentioned I only struggled and had to go without last year and choose between heating or food, until I got my second job.

He told me the biscuits were nice. He had one and his wife had a second. So those biscuits are going down well.
They enjoyed my shortbread cat biscuits last week too.
I said I will more likely be baking them again tomorrow morning, so expect to take some back on Monday, after our cuppa and chat.

As I have mentioned in my post, his wife was happy to help yesterday and said anytime I need further help, to ask.

I have enjoy the dvd’s today.

I shall be sorting some paperwork out next, then put one of my other dvd’s on. I shall choose a film when I have made my mind up. It will have to be one I watched before, with cutting back on my dvd spending this month. 🙂

  2. sure sounds like you like Cirque Du Soleil, they are amazing! I’ve only seen them live, but makes sense that there would be dvd’s 🙂

What kind neighbours you all are to each other!

    1. Yes, I accidentally came across Cirque Du Soleil. I can’t remember how, with it being some years ago.
It must have been amazing you watching them live. I have enjoyed the dvd’s I have of them and I do plan to collect more.

My neighbours below that I have got even more close to, have said they think the world of me.
They’re both lovely. I certainly don’t want to lose contact with them, when I have the opportunity to move later down the line. 🙂
