Moving away from the old programs, I agree, there are times when we look around, we look at ourselves, we look at our attempts to change, and then we shake our head because we think, “Why bother? It’s not working anyway.”Then we sabotage ourselves without even noticing. We create our own self-fulfilled prophecy. We fail […]

I have talked about in the past how I don’t use apps in my phone’s for anything, other than games, which I play maybe an hour, but not every night. As for emails and blogging, which is my main use, I log into them using my browser. I log in this in way because I am choosing when to check, but also I am on only a certain amount of internet each month. But even if I was to be lucky and have a contract with unlimited internet, I would still do it this way, just like when one time I had home internet, I will check when I am ready and not be bombarded with notifications alerting me to every alert I receive. I like my quiet time, but I know people, or have seen how people cannot resist after every notification to look.
This blog post re-share asks when was the last time you sat alone in the quiet without anything, or anyone to distract you, including not holding your mobile phone and tips how to reduce stimulation and enjoy silence.

This habit is really helping me to feel grateful […]

I came across this post from, “Emerging from the dark night” and I loved the inspirational read. The name, Maya Angelou wasn’t familiar to me, so after reading this post below, I googled her name. As soon as I seen photos of this lady, her face seemed familiar. I would have seen her on the TV I think, in my childhood and I remember liking this lady.
After reading the words from the post below, I certainly would like to read more of her work.
I just came across this beautiful article on an idea from Maya Angelou. Well worth a look. https://iamfearlesssoul.com/try-to-be-a-rainbow-in-someones-cloud-maya-angelou/
