Liebster Award

December time, I was nominated for the Liebster Award, by Mel, from decorcraftdesign. Thank you Mel.

I thought I had this award already, but was still happy to accept, but I could see no award on this blog when searching for it, so I must have got confused with my old blog I used to write.

So reading up on Mel’s blog to see what it was about, which you will see if you click on the above link the Liebster Award is given to bloggers, by other bloggers. For a blogger to nominate you it introduces you to the world and if you nominate new bloggers, it does the same for them, expanding the blogging community. More in the above link if you like to read more about it and do check out Mel’s lovely blog, while you are there.

All I now have to do, is to answer the questions ( 5 – 11 of them)  put to me. Then make a similar set of new creative questions for the bloggers I nominate.

So these are the questions I chose to answer. Which was all of them, except for one, which I did not have an answer for.

What would you be like or do if,

  1. You are an opposite sex of yours? I wouldn’t want to be the opposite sex.
  2. You are a superhero? Superman. I know, it dictates my first answer.
  3. You are a dog? I’d be faithful and keep my owner happy.
  4. You are an artist? I’m answering as artist as in painting on canvas, or drawing etc… I would sell some pieces if they were good enough.
  5. You can fly? I don’t want to fly.
  6. You are a scientist? No thanks. I will leave it those that’s clever enough.
  7. You are a tycoon? If I want wan much money to live on, I’d certainly donate to a few charities.
  8. You are a celebrity? Choose not to be in the limelight, while still being able to do my job. I admire those celebrities that can do that, because it must be hard to keep your life personal.
  9. You are an alien? Can’t answer this one. Don’t know.
  10. You can travel time? I would want to see my own future, to choose whether it was worth fighting for, or not.
  11. You are a Santa Claus? Make all children happy and see they are safe and the adults who are homeless on the streets, would have food and shelter.

I am not nominating anyone, so if you are reading this and would like to do it, then you are welcome to.

Here are the questions for you if you choose to accept:

  1. Is there anything you plan to do, that will be a little out of your comfort zone?
  2. If you could travel in time, would you want to visit a past, or future?
  3. Do you own a pet? Tell me about your lovely friend. (Don’t have one? I don’t, but if you could own a pet, what would it be?)
  4. Your favourite comfort food?
  5. Your favourite place?

Do enjoy joining in and don’t forget to spread the community by sharing the award. Do see the above link in how to join in, as full details there.

Please note, that this will be the last award I will accept, as I don’t plan to do anymore. Thank you to those that have nominated me in the past.

Blogger recognition

I have received a “Blogger Recognition Award” from Kaya, over at “Lifestyle Adventure Beauty” blog.

Blogger Recognition Award

Thank you, Kaya for the award.

This is the second time I have received this award. The first time was back in September 2016 and I am very happy to accept this award again.

Here are the award rules:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

2. Write a post to show your award

3. Give a brief story of how your blog got started

4. Give two pieces of advice to new bloggers

5. Select 15 other bloggers to nominate

6. Comment on each blog to let them know you nominated them and provide a link to your post.

Why I started this blog

This blog originally started, because I needed to write for therapeutic reasons. It became my outlet for releasing whatever I was feeling inside. Those who have followed this blog mostly during this blog has been running, will know how much I have grown, for the better.
Blogging is not as much therapeutic, as it was at the beginning, due to how I am for the better, but I enjoy blogging and it’s nice communicating with fellow bloggers.

Two pieces of advice for new bloggers

My two pieces of advice remain the same, as originally posted before, when I received this award.

  1. Be you. Being you reflects in your blog posts, helping your readers to get to know you and vice versa. This then reflects in your posts.
  2. Passionate. Write something that is passionate to you, or what you like, whether it be something on a personal level or a hobby you would like to talk about and share. By writing about something you are passionate about, you will continue to write about it, without it feeling a chore and you will enjoy it. Blogging is fun after all.

The next is to nominate 15 others for this award. Nominating others is not some I do now, because I find a majority don’t do it. So instead, I will just leave this open to readers/ bloggers who would like to accept this award. If you do accept, then either leave your post in the comments section of this post below, or if writing on your blog, then linking to this actual post. It must link to this post itself, for a chance for me to see yours.

I have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award

This is not the first time I have been nominated for this award, as I was nominated last year. If you would like to see that post, you will find it here.

This year, I have been nominated by Carol, over at

1. Write about how and why you started blogging.

This blog started because I needed to write for therapeutic reasons, which it still helps me for that same reason at times and acts as a release for whatever is inside. But it also gives awareness and I have met like-minded bloggers through this blog, so I never feel alone and that same I hope you don’t feel alone when you read what I share. My blog has also grown, which shows I have as I share new challenges, or learn new things.

2. Mention the person who nominated you and write a short description about them.

As I mentioned before, Carol, at “Therapy Bits” nominated me for this award, which you will find her blog over at the link shared above.
When you visit to read Carol’s blog you will learn about dissociative identity disorder (DID), PSTD and she shares sometimes her therapy sessions, as well as other parts of her life.

3. Choose 15 other bloggers for nomination, for this award.

I am not going to list 15 other bloggers for this award as I find not many really join in, so I will keep this open and if you are reading this post and have never been awarded before, then please feel free to feel nominated. Should you wish to join in, then don’t forget to tag this post so I can come and see your post.

4. Write two different pieces of advice for new bloggers.

Just be yourself, as this will reflect across in your blog and write what you are interested or passionate about, as this will keep encouraging you write something on your blog. Don’t forget to visit other blogs that interest you and leave comments there, as well as replying back to your own visitors.

5. Let the people you have nominated know about you nominating them and send a link to your blog post.

See number 3, for who I nominated.

The Run.Rabbit.Run. PTSD award

I have been nominated “The Run.Rabbit.Run. PTSD Award,” by Courage Coaching. This has been a lovely surprise to receive with this blog not even a year old yet. Thank you Courage Coaching. (This award was previously known as the Blogger Recognition Award).

The rules:

  • Thank the blog who nominated you, share the link and award on your blog.
  • Write a brief story on how you started blogging and any advice you would give to a new blogger.
  • Select nominees (max 15)
  • Advise nominees.

Why I started blogging

I started blogging as a releasing outlet for what I was feeling, which has now turned out to help others, or be an inspiration. My blog has reflected as I change accordingly, which I hope to keep my blog positive, but like anyone with depression, it could change on my down days etc…

Blogging became therapeutic for me and continues to do so and I have come across many lovely followers here since bringing my blog to WordPress.

Advice to any new bloggers

Advice I would give to a new blogger is to just be you, as this will reflect in your post.

I would like to nominate the following for The Run.Rabbit.Run. PTSD Award

These are just some of many, I have picked, that I love to follow for different reasons. I know some already have this award, so I don’t expect them to do it again and others that I have nominated I don’t know if they have. But enjoy the award either way.
